Alzheimer’s Memory Care

Comfort Care is a dedicated neighborhood designed for seniors with memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Its secure design allows residents greater independence while receiving the special support that they need. While the Comfort Care Residence is Medicare/Medicaid Certified, its attention and care is universal for those with Alzheimer’s disease.

A Sensory Garden and Plenty of Activity

Comfort Care residents may wander throughout their neighborhood, including the living room and music room. Along with family and friends, residents also have access to our award-winning sensory trail and garden, offering a changing kaleidoscope of color year-round. Daily activities include art and music. Since our inaugural drum circle with Max Weinberg, the drummer of Bruce Springsteen, our drum circles in our music room continue to thrive. Comfort Care residents also participate in the special events in our building, such as concerts, parties and luncheons.

Specifically for Memory Care

The staff in Comfort Care is trained in memory loss, and receives guidance from our Certified Dementia Practitioners. Both the staff and the physical environment encourage interaction and socialization with peers, family, and volunteers. The dedicated and caring staff provides physical cues and activities that help to enhance cognitive function.

Free Alzheimer’s Support Group

Our Alzheimer’s Support group meets each month for an hour. The group is geared toward caregivers and families of loved ones with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s disease. Led by our one of our certified social workers, the group discusses issues, strategies for coping, and resources within the community.
